Reading Produce Codes For GE Or GMO

The PLU code (price lookup number) on the sticker is filled with more than price information. It tells you how produce is grown. By reading the PLU code, you can determine if that produce is “conventionally” or “traditionally” grown; that is, with chemical fertilizers, fungicides, or herbicides.
