Are you looking for a way to improve the efficiency of your homestead? You have many options based on the type of property you have to the animals you want. Chickens are great for eggs and meat, but a better option may be to add some guinea fowl.

This is not an exotic species as there are many guinea fowl farms around the country. One aspect about this type of bird is it will eat a lot of insects. This means you can add a few in your backyard to prevent pests from becoming a problem in your garden. These birds also make a lot of noise when spooked.

There are many reasons to have guinea fowl on your homestead. All you need to do is determine if you will benefit by having a few of these birds. You might actually find they are a better option than having chickens for eggs and meat.
