Have you wanted to start a herb garden, but don’t have a lot of space available? One idea that might be ideal for your situation is to look into container gardening. A simply amazing way to use containers for growing herbs is to make a stacked herb garden planter.

A few terracotta pots of various sizes are all you need to make a stacked herb garden planter. The main thing to keep in mind is the planter needs to be near a window. This means you could be limited in the size or height of your planter. A good size for a window planter will be about two feet or so.

The best thing about terracotta pots is they come with holes for drainage. You will be using these holes to stack the pots to make a stacked herb garden planter. The pots will need to be supported on a rod that will be made of metal.
