Have you ever crushed limestone on a paved driveway and noticed a white color? The dust that is made when crushing limestone is a form of calcium carbonate you can purchase in bulk. This product can be used for many DIY projects like making your own sidewalk chalk paint.

The sidewalk chalk paint you make is applied just like normal paint, but dries like chalk. All you will need to do is mix a large batch of a base white and then create other colors. This paint can be used on a regular sidewalk and even on an asphalt driveway.

A regular paint brush is all that is needed to apply sidewalk chalk paint. Jumbo paint brushes are better for young kids though. You can even put your paint in small plastic containers which are the same color as the paint. The best thing is, you can make another batch in just a couple of minutes.
