Are you tired of having mud tracked into your home when other people come inside on a rainy day? Mud will dry to a hard consistency and can be difficult to clean on surfaces like carpet. A great way to keep mud out of your home is to make a homemade boot scraper.

The best thing about a homemade boot scraper is you can make more than one. You probably have lots of places where one of these will come in handy. A good place is on the front porch and another will be the entrance off a deck. You may have other areas in mind too.

A few scrap pieces of wood and hard bristle brushes are all you need to make a boot scraper. This is an ideal option to not only keep your house clean, but your footwear too. The cost may be no more than $20 based on the supplies you have available.
