52 Plants Wild Plants You Can Eat

This is a great article that lists 52 plants found in the wild that are edible. The author provides a photo for each plant plus a short description. This is excellent information if you’re savaging wild plants to survive. And it’s also an excellent source of info if you just want to include more edible plants on your property. Perhaps you have edible plants and you just don’t know it!

There were several plants on the list that were surprising. For example, most of the Cattail plant is edible.  We grew up with lots of Cattail, but never thought to eat them. According to Mother Earth News, the flower spikes can be cooked and eaten much like corn. Also, there is another part of the plant that can be enjoyed much like asparagus.
