Anyone with an outside garden can plant fruits and vegetables that will be ready to grow the following spring. Another great option is to start planting garlic in the fall which will be ready to harvest in the summer. A few garlic bulbs are all you need for this task.

One important thing to know about planting garlic in the fall is to use organic garlic. Garlic bulbs from a local grocery store can be used too, but they are typically sprayed with chemicals and might not grow when planted. You can also use garlic bulbs harvested from your own garden.

Whether you live in an area that has harsh winter weather or in an area that is warm all winter, there is no reason planting garlic in the fall cannot be done. All you need to do is prepare an area of your garden if you have some garlic bulbs you want to plant.
