Ok, we admit it, when we first heard about pickled grape leaves, we thought it sounded little odd. Or, that maybe somebody had a little too much of the fermented grape, if you know what we mean. But in reality, pickled grape leaves are totally edible and quite tasty. Used in soups, stews and casseroles, they impart a unique flavor and are great to have around the kitchen. If you’ve ever been to a Greek restaurant, you’ve probably seen Dolma. Dolma is grape leaves stuffed with yummy meats and rice. As an added benefit, grape leaves pickled in brine are rich in vitamin A. Next time you go to harvest grapes, consider harvesting the leaves as well.
