Recently we finished some renovations to our house. One of the small improvements we made was changing out the brass metal hinges and door knobs for oil-rubbed bronze ones. Some of the hinges had been painted over, so we had to remove the paint before painting them with Rust-Oleum Universal Metallic Paint (which we are very happy with, by the way). Scrubbing and pealing the paint off the hinges became a tedious and tiresome job. Our hands ached. We searched around for a better and faster way to remove the paint from metal hardware and found this ingenious way that involves no chemical strippers. This method works on oil, latex, and spray on paint.
