We are super excited to introduce you to this facial toner recipe. We’ve been using and recommending a facial toner that is 1 part organic apple cider vinegar to 3 parts water ever since we discovered it. Apple cider vinegar helps balance the pH of your skin and it minimize not only blemishes, but also age spots and darker pigmentation areas.
At the same time, we’ve also become quite found of using raw honey in a few combinations as a facial mask. And (it just keeps getting better…) we love the fresh scent of peppermint (actually mint of any kind) and use it as an essential oil in the shower on the skin and face as a morning pick-me-up. The vapors alone help get us going.
Now, Aubrey, creator and editor of Homegrown & Healthy, has shared her Peppermint & Honey Homemade Facial Toner recipe as a guest author on Mommy Potamus. Just to give you a heads-up, you can exchange the peppermint oil for another essential oil that you favor or prefer for your special skin type. Peppermint, however, is good for all skin types so you can’t go wrong with it.
