Do you enjoy a tasty ice cream sandwich during the summer, but are not fond of products that you find at the grocery store? A great alternative to anything that is store bought is something that is homemade. If you want to make yourself a giant ice cream sandwich, then a simple process is available.
Devil’s Food Cake Mix (1 Box)
Eggs (4 Total)
Vegetable Oil (½ Cup)
Rectangular Boxes of Ice Ceam (3 Total)
Baking Sheet (2 Total)
Follow the instructions on your package of Devil’s Food Cake mix, but add an extra egg when mixing the batter. Pour the batter on two baking sheets that are covered with parchment paper. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
Use a ruler and paring knife to cut the cake into rectangles that are 7 inches by 13 inches. Make sure you round the corners too. Poke at least five holes in your cake with the plastic straw.
Open all the ice cream boxes and make a huge sandwich with the cake and cover with the plastic wrap. Place in your freezer until firm.
